Somewhere out there, wondering the wilderness is someone with a perfect mould of your face, just waiting for you to come and take a peek inside.

I thought the same thing!

I liked it after I saw it in a magazine. I thought at first that it is about people, compromising their own identity to make everyone around them feel better. But leaving a meaning aside, it is amazing piece of traditional art showing inspiring technique and rich imagination. Excited to check the rest of your gallery!

I don't know how your brain works if you can paint an inverted face and not explode in the process

Whoa what a strange and intriguing concept.  In a way, it could describe someone searching for the "inner self", or even the "inner child".  This is haunting and lovely at the same time.

Wooow, this is so magnificently creepy! I look at this masterpiece and feel... fear. I imagined that I look into this dark, mysterious inner "out-self" and find whole immense universe of dreads and anxieties, floating, flowing in the space. Things like you see in your soul when listening to dark ambient, to say in in other words. This is an amazing idea, great work.

This is a really interesting piece, it caught my eye right away and I just had to comment lol. There's definitely something disturbing about the mask itself - the facial expression and the shading. I'm really curious - what was your motivation for the piece? :O

Your art is great but I must say that I strongly disagree with your philosophy, or at least the way you formulated it.  Is this your definition of love, finding someone that fully embrace your personality, and doesn't express himself/herself with his/her own face ? It feels so weird to be looking for somebody defined in a negative fashion... It makes me feel as if you're not loving anybody but yourself ? Your drawing and text disturb me so much...

I thought the idea was kind of comforting, that there is always someone out there who will fully accept you for who you are, and the way it's worded "take a peek inside" makes it seem less like a selfish sentiment and more like a mutual exploration of one another, just my two cents.

Interesting opinion. If I wanted to to view this painting+text with a positive point of view, I'd say that someone in the world might want to reveal himself/herself only to you: you're very special to him/her, because you are  his/her only mean to be truly revealed as a person(ie the only one that can "take a peek inside"). I guess this is good for you to be that special but ...

Yet one can see the relation between the 2 characters is a bit one-sided, one is dependent on the other to exist, the other not ...

Don't worry, it's certainly not my philosophy on love or anything like that. It's just a weird half idea that I found disturbing too. I don't normally write anything significant in the captions. I like your interpretation of it, I don't know why I drew this piece exactly, I just found the idea unsettling.

All in all it's sure a nice piece of art if it moves people (me at least) so much. I will be looking forward for your future works with a lot of interest :)
